"Holy Toledo Batman" My Baby is ~4~

Last night we went to Peter Piper Pizza to celebrate Breckyn's 4th Birthday. We had friends and family all there, which included: Aunt Donna & Uncle John~Aunt Noddles~Aunt Tonya, Kylyn, Jaytin, Tacen ~ Adam & Kandi, McKinzee, Tiffani, Hanna~Mark & Kodey~Mike & Anissa, Tyler, Makena, Ashlyn~Dale & Tiffany, Courtney, Kayla, Korryn, Carter~Maranda and Crae. She also got many calls and cards from family who don't live close by.

Her cake was of coarse Dora and Boots (which her wonderful mother forgot to order until 11:30).So my sister-in-law called and brought to my attention that they spelled Breckyn with an L in it. How sad that all of us at the party missed it even her mother.

And then came the presents. These are SOME of them. Dora of coarse was a big hit, as you can see. (There is another set of them that I missed) She got hair and dress-up stuff and she got...

Her "house with all the kids" (thanks Grandma Lu and kids). When she got them in the mail, she pulled the presents out of the box, even though they were wrapped she told me what they were (ok, Troy Jr.). She also got a Dog Vet kit from Maranda who went to 3 stores to find her a "dog house" 'cause that's what she told her she wanted. The one present that was not there ot open (I said it couldn't go) was the saddle that Daddy got her, now they all have their own. AND she got $41.00 (hide it during Happy Hour 'A' Anissa?)

Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson came down earlier and gave her a shirt and necklace that Sherry had made. Thanks.

Now these are 2 faces that not all will recognize. This is Maranda and Crae. They came to Maggie's bonfire and have not left since. They are our new adoptees or our "teens". They come out to visit, ride horses, play with the kids who adore them and Crae helps Troy with anything he needs. Anyway I wanted to introduce them since we hope they are here to stay and you will ALL get to know them soon. We love you guys.

All in all it was a great day. I still can't believe that my baby is 4 (but that doesn't mean I want another LOL). Thanks to all who came and to those who called, she felt very loved.

More Tests?

So as most of you know, Keegan started vomiting again at the end of the school year. When we took him in, they said that his Fundo had not been "compromised". which means his surgery is still in tact. But, the vomiting is caused by yet another disorder called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome or CVS. We had to take him to a Neurologist to confirm and she said that she wanted to test him in order to rule out seizures. I know, what next? So, last Tuesday he went in for a MRI. He did great, laying completely still for 35 minutes. Of coarse it helped that he got to go to a new image center that has glasses that you wear and watch a movie through. He watched Star Wars (surprise, surprise). The tech loved him and she and the other tech let him pick a picture of his head and bring it home.

Then, this Tuesday we took him in for an EEG. He had 25 wires on his head and 2 on his heart. He had to have strobe lights in his face for 2 minutes and then breathe like he was blowing up a balloon for 3 minutes. Then they had him roll onto his side, covered him with a blanket and lay in the dark. After a while he finally fell asleep and they were able to finish after just over an hour. He is a trooper. I guess he should be used to it all by now, but I kind of thought it was all over with. We are still waiting on the results and pray that they do NOT find what they are looking for. We'll keep you informed.

Memories.....

Here are the rules:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Great News!

So on Tuesday Cyndy, Keegan's therapist came over and we were explaining to him how the new Race Track for eating would work. Cyndy cut a banana in small pieces to show him the size he was expected to eat. He said that that was fine and so she asked him to try a bite for her (he has always refused to even try bananas). He took a bite and we got so excited that he took another and another. After 6 pieces, he got a prize and alot of hugs. Later that day we took him in for his weight check and he has gained 2 1/2 pounds in 3 months. He is now on the growth chart. Going from 8 cans of Nutren Jr. a week to 35, made a huge difference. He was very proud and really liked being called a monkey by Grama Lu. So in the words of my sister Jill "It's just like Christmas".

Tomorrow we go in for his MRI and in a few weeks his EEG. We pray that they will not find what the are looking for. Keep you posted.

And Yes, We Hire Them Out

Troy tried and tried to get the lights hooked up on Whitey but had to call in the recruits. Cheap child labor, works every time. LOL

Can You Believe I Allowed This?

So as we all know, rain is not something we see to often. But, the other night we got quite a bit of it. My friend Anissa's girls had spent the night and so they were all out playing. A little bit later everyone came in except for..... you guessed it Breckyn. They told me that she was in the mud, I went to check and low and behold she was IN the mud.
As you can see, she didn't bother to change and when told she was getting a spanken....well you can see how much she cared. The other kids decided that it looked fun and asked to join. We all know that I am not like I used to be. I Don't Like Mud. But I let them play (in their swimsuits).
They played in Breckyn's little puddle for a minute and then I remembered about the re tension Troy had dug to catch the rain and sent them to check it out. They were yelling and screaming about how much water there was. They had so much fun.

The girls take aim at Keegan.

Well, they got him.

After they decided to play horses, Ashlyn showed Breckyn how "horses drink", Breckyn learned well and Ash was proud.

This is Ashlyn, Breckyn's BFF. I love this picture even if her hair is short Mike.

After they ran, jumped and splashed for a bit, we hosed them off and let them "swim" in Troy's Hot Tub.

So all in all it was a fun day and it wore them out. I'm glad I "chilled" out enough to let them get so dirty and have so much fun. FYI Keegan is white, so even if it is only 15 minutes in the sun, Cover Him From Head To Toe With Sun Screen. Poor boy takes after his mother.
